Used Cisco Equipment
Cisco is the leading supplier of networking equipment and network management for the Internet.
Companies can buy new equipment directly from Cisco, but there is a huge market for buying used or refurbished Cisco equipment from resellers.
Today you can buy lots of different used cisco equipment including:
* Routers
* Switches
* Access Servers
* IP Telephony (Voice Over IP Phones)
* Security Products (firewalls and intrusion detection equipment)
* Accessories (power supplies, racks, etc).
There are many ideas to write about used cisco equipment:
* Money savings of used vs. new
* Avoiding depreciation (such as driving a new car off a dealer lot)
* Availability (products in stock)
* Implementation – easy to implement – plug and play, while new equipment may require additional work
* Stringent quality testing of the Used Cisco products

I’ve always wanted to wire my house up with Cisco equipment, but it’s much too expensive. I’ve even got a full duplex 16 port gigabit switch here at the house that our computers run off of, and I’m saying that true Cisco equipment is too expensive. A great alternative however would be to get used cisco equipment. The great thing about Cisco equipment is that it is made to last in server environments and last for a long time so you don’t have to worry about buying used cisco eqiupment because it’s bound to be in good shape. Not to mention even if it does have a problem here or there it’s always repairable.
